Ernie Searle Dear korfballers, (past & present) It is with deep sadness that I write to inform you that Ernie Searle passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, the 17th July. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, 5th August 2014 at 1.00 p.m. at Shrewsbury Cemetery & Crematorium and afterwards at Shrewsbury Cricket Club. George and Sue will be attending to represent CKC Golden Oldies. CKC Golden Oldies will be making a donation to Robyn's chosen charity remembering Ernie's long affiliation and support for Croydon Korfball Club. I believe Ernie was one of the original players in the first Croydon team in 1946. We will always remember Ernie for his love of korfball and his keenness to promote the game.
