Another Successful Croydon Tournament

What a day!

Croydon held its annual outdoor tournament at Royal Russell School, and it was another huge success. Teams travelled from far and wide, and it was wonderful to welcome back old friends as well as saying hello to new ones.

The morning started with a little light "liquid sunshine" but this was replaced with some brighter sunshine which soon dried up all the moisture. The morning pools saw some close games, and some not so close games but above all, players seemed to be having fun.

The seeded afternoon pools led to some very tight matches, where the energy and imagination of players showed through. The junior teams also started their tournament, with players from u9 up to u13.

The crowds watching the finals were joined by the Deputy Mayor of Croydon, who kindly also presented the winners' trophy.

Thanks to all who helped made the tournament possible. See you again next year, first Sunday in July again.
