Another great Croydon Tournament In Croydon Korfball Club's 70th year, the annual outdoor tournament went with a bang. Video of the day: here The day dawned sunny and warm, not too warm though, just the perfect temperature. And so 29 adult teams and 19 junior teams made their way to the smooth flat pitches of Royal Russell School to enjoy the Korfball sensation that is Croydon's tournament. Some matches were won, some were drawn and some were lost, but there were smiling people, playing this great sport, outdoors in the fresh Croydon air. By the end of the day, the pool winners had been declared, helpers thanked, and it was time to trundle home, weary but happy in the knowledge that next year it could all be repeated again. Thanks to all who played, all who reffed, all who supported and all who encouraged others. To those who were at their first tournament, to those who were at their last, to those who haven't played for a while, for those who have moved up from juniors to seniors, to those who played for fun, to those who played to win, thank you for making the tournament the great event it was. See you all next year.
