It’s a Saturday night up in a rainy, snowy and quite frankly cold Norwich venue, so instead of a convoluted account of the game (which we cant remember 100% due to limited hours of sleep. Apparently students are loud, who knew??) we will give you the facts…

Goals:
➢ Hannah scored a hat-trick (silencing our opposition’s supporters I might add),
➢ Zu scored 2 penalties (and offered up some hilarious side line banter, more about that later),
➢ Stephen scored a short shot but kept enormous pressure on Charlie (as well as earning an admirer in Dave Buckland),
➢ Kathy scored 1 long shot (with a rather subdued celebration… the bench were disappointed),
➢ Andy scored 2 cheeky short shots (one of which Jess was sorely upset to have missed whilst playing the role of water boy) and,
➢ Dom came on after half time and decided to score his first national league goal.

Substitutions: None in the first half but strategic decisions being made in the second half, so try to keep up.

There… clear as mud.

Now for the fun bit… We had a guest tweeter whilst the game was playing and some blinding quotes were overheard and shared for the twitter world at large.

Our favourites:
On a time out being called by Norwich (score line 31-9) Zu – “ they had to call a time out, it’s squeaky bum time over there”

Time out called by us (score line 34-10) Hannah – “ Heads up guys, come on lets make double digits (see’s score line), oh brilliant, already there, don’t worry”.

On Dom’s shooting range – “Dom takes an outrageous long shot, it was close but didn’t quite make it, it did however, take out an opponent who suffered a sudden burst of cramp and had to be carried off”

So there you have it. Yes it was a loss, but the team’s spirit was brilliant (I genuinely feel it was a brilliant advertisement for our club). Heads never went down, and apparently we had awesome “banter with the ref” so there you have it, now time for a well deserved curry. I fancy a tikka masala.
