Croydon 1 start well, but fall short against Trojans 2 Final Score: Trojans 2 26 vs 17 Croydon 1A Burr (5)A Withers (4)E Chaney (2)D James (2)D Bradford (0)K Gilbert (0)E Mcdermott (2)S Withers (2)H Robinson (1)K Bradford (0)Submitted by Kathy on 10 Nov 19Croydon 4 suffer unfortunate defeat to Highbury 5I super team travelled by car, train and Uber to get to the injury jinxed Petchey. One section was experienced Vik, Charlotte still newish Jenny with total novice Serg. Leaving experienced Lorna, Craig, Callum and first full game newbie Natalie. We lost but we gave a good game. The breakdown starts with Vik - oh my! He was all over the pitch. Running here and there, intercepting. Shooting and following, covering as required. Only held back after second half sandwich and slam leading to injury. Hope it is ok. Charlotte - she missed her trade mark pop shot but had her chances. Must have been all the extra moving with keeping the ball moving and closing down her defendant. Jenny - go go girl! Not seen her play for a while but loved the moving open goal and so so casual pop in it goes penalty’s. Defending fighting machine. Serg - thrown in and did well especially in tracksuit bottoms in heated hall. Yes let goals against experienced opposition but moved out, did defend and gutted for him as scored!! But was disallowed boo. Me - usual lazy game if I can though should’ve moved around more. Craig - started with normal opposition then had an energetic wild thing. Still scored a beauty though which makes more sweet! He ran shot defended all super. Callum - beautiful two long shots taken with ease that I thought blimey he should shoot more! Out collected his tall opponent with double jump at times. Natalie - perfect first game and after no sleep! A professional, even called switch!! Intercepted did keep up and s loose ball was hers, very snappy, loved it. Anyone can add thought I’d write somethinthanks for everyone for playing and Karen for sideline assists xxMatch Report by Lorna Final Score: Highbury 5 10 vs 8 Croydon 4C Elliott (2)V Kugadas (1)C Stevens (1)J Lawson (3)L MacKay-Elliott (1)C Feakins (0)N Gilbert-James (0)Submitted by KarenJ on 10 Nov 19
