Croydon 1 kick start their season with win against Supernova

The team arrived in dribs and drabs but all got to the venue in time for the super photo in the new kit.

Sections were Andy, Kieron, Sarah and Kathy with Alex, Dan, Anna and Eliza. Sideline support of subs Ed and Lorna, Coach Ellis, Videographer Jenny and Callum, Paige, Max and Daisy.

The game got off to an excellent start with goals flying in from all directions. Croydon had the better of Supernova but they were not going to let Croydons lead get too far ahead.

It did get close at the end but on the sideline it is always good to have a thriller but next time maybe not so tight folks!

Half time talk was to swop the sections as Dan was on fire and maybe the other section needed some help with scoring. This was done but Supernova did their own swops so Croydon's lead was getting smaller.

Thankfully Croydon held their nerve and did play the ball around despite some silly shots the final whistle was blown with Croydon never losing the lead.

Very special thanks to Eliza for changing her plans so that she could play. Dan you were my favourite player for the game not just the goals but defense as well, everyone did well in attack and defense. Alex very calm with penalties, Andy not put off when free so often and grabbed that ball, Anna you ruled the post, Kieron super speed and what height can you jump? Kathy made the running in shot look easy, Sarah you've still got it!

Next time you play them,I would like to predict winning by 6! x
