Unfortunately the hall floor was as slippery as an ice rink and the hall was as cold as it gets. Lorna want the only person expecting to be able to see their breath, and the poor spectators had 11 layers of clothing on, each. But the determined 2nd teamers didn't let that deter them. Okay, so running wasn't really possible, or rather stopping was an issue, so Croydon aimed to make it a long shot game with strong rebounds. This worked for long periods of the match, and for most of the second half the score was neck and neck. As the clock clicked down though, Bec sink a couple of long shots themselves and Croydon didn't quite have the time to reply. Amazing debut second team game for MarkW, who is improving with every game he plays. He almost scored too. Massive thank you to Lorna for stepping in at the last minute and playing with a dodgy shoulder. She out-played her opponent around the post like the true pro she is. Thanks to Char and Callum who hot-footed it from the hall to get to Trinity to sub for the 1st teamers. All round team effort today. Well done.
