Croydon 1 secure double figures in KV rematch!Croydon 1 travelled to Aylesford to have the re-match against KV. Croydon pre-match talk was to be positive from the start and to try to make a good game of it. With a new coach on the side in the shape of 3rd team captain Bradford due to Colins absence Croydon held their own well, starting with the same sections as the last match. With 5 minutes to go until halftime the score was only 9-5 to KV. However, Croydon seemed to lose a bit of gusto from their early endevours and the first half finished 13-5 to KV and the game looked like it might be starting to get away from Croydon. After a rousing team talk from the substitute coach, Croydon looked to get less one shot attacks, to try to stop the diagonal passes that proved fruitful for KV in the first half and to stop giving away penalties. The second half was a bit more one-sided though as Croydon seemed to fade towards the end. The team achieved a season high of 10 goals, but unfortunately KV amassed 31. Croydon played well in phases and the team morale was good with all players getting a good amount of game time. Even a small cameo from coach Dom who came on for the last 7 minutes! But the story of the day was Croydon missed 3 penalties out of 4 and KV scored all 6 of their penalties and also a few free throws. So still alot to work on in training, but some positives to look at going into the Christmas break. Well played all!!!Match Report by Kathy | Updated by Kathy Previous photo Next photo1 of 10 Final Score: KV Korfball 1 31 vs 10 Croydon 1Andrew(3)Marc(2)Stephen(1)Simon(1)Ed(0)Dom(0)Hannah(1)Sarah(1)Kathryn(0)Kimberley(0)Annie(1)Jessica(0)
