Croydon fail to make up ground against Kwiek
Croydon started this match with a couple of changes from the team that had beaten Invicta the week before. Daniel Moore and Tammy Kentfield were in for Andy Withers and Sarah George who had gone to the slopes. The match started slowly with both sides feeling their way into the game. At half time the score was 5 - 4 to Croydon.
In what was a very close match Croydon lost their way at the start of the second half. From being one goal ahead Kwiek started the second half the better scoring 3 goals without reply. Saskia de Jagger scored the goal to pull Croydon back to one goal behind at 6 - 7.
From there Croydon's play became erratic and lost its control and disciplined style of play that had been a feature of the previous week, conceding 4 goals without reply. From 8 - 11 down, Croydon clawed their way back into the match but could not quite make the up for the 2 lapses when they allowed Kwiek to score freely. Final score 15 -16.
