Croydon's cup team fight hard against Bristol CityThe Cup Team consisting of Julia, Becki, Simon, Paul, Johan, Human, travelled to Bristol to play Bristol City KC and Bristol Thunder KC. In what was going to be a tough afternoon due to travelling with 6 players and the cup handicap giving Bristol City a 3 goal start. We lined up with Becki, Simon and Johan in attack, Julia, Human and Paul in defence. With Simons 3 long shots and 2 penalties keeping the score respectable and Paul Penalties and Humans medium shot the final score ended up 14 + the 3 handicap making 17 – 7 to Bristol City. Bristol Thunders organisation and quality shooting proved too much for a tiring cup team and Croydon went down 11+2 13 – 2. A Simon long shot and a Paul penalty. It felt like an early start, the hall was cold and some of the opposition looked too good to be Trojans 3 but hey that's life and we had it all to play for. This would be where you would read the facts of the game but remembering that I am writing I never remember, oops, anyone can edit and add some true details. I think they scored first but it wasn't straight away as the ball had been played around in both attacks. My section, Luke J was ball watching and ready to intercept if given the chance but I dont think he disrupted our section too much. David has way too much energy and was put to the test of playing against a way taller player. Phil did give Luke a run for his money and did match goals as penalties dont count and I personally think Luke should not have been allowed to take them. Angela come to Thursday training to learn 'the turn' as you would've scored a goal like that. David did score a lovely running in shot, dis-allowed boo hoo. Other section, all ran and passed and shot and defended did you have goals disallowed too? Martin was so there with graceful long shot it will come, infact doesnt it usually hmm did he have a late night? Sarah, come training and then those running shots with a 's' would go in, infact was one counted as defended? Steve with the yes and enthusiasm should've put a goal away and Charlotte goes where she should go and is in the right place, maybe have some of Steve's voice, ha ha Sorry not really match facts, and David next time just say Lorna or whomever "take the shirts!"
