Croydon 1 suffer tough defeat to SN1A tough day at the office with shots refusing to go in. At least the start of season cobwebs have been blown away. Special mention to Milly on her CKC debut and to Leyani on her first team debut. My bet is on shooting practise at training this week :-)Match Report by SarahA | Updated by SarahA Previous photo Next photo1 of 3 Final Score: Supernova 1 21 vs 6 Croydon 1A Booth (1)M Burrows (1)C MacKay (0)L MacKay (0)O Arnold (2)K Bradford (2)A Wolstenholme (0)L Govindasami (0)M Pang (0)Submitted by SarahA on 04 Oct 26Croydon 4 tough it out to see off Nova 5After a delayed entry to the building and an interrupted warm-up, the game started slowly but with a long shot from Matt as Croydon got into their groove. Supernova soon levelled though and then stormed into the lead but a goal from Thea restored parity, before Matt scored his second just before a nervy half time. The 2nd half started well for Croydon with Harriet scoring her debut senior team goal to wild celebrations on the sidelines but Supernova weren't done and scored the next 2 goals to again have the teams level, this was going to be tight. A hat-trick goal from Matt though gave the visitors hope... only for Nova to score again. With minutes remaining Max scored from distance, with a nonchalance and shrug that drew laughter and cheers from the bench, and despite Croydon nearly blowing it by giving possession away cheaply for the remainder of the game, they toughed it out and got the W. Well played all!Match Report by Andy | Updated by HannahR Previous photo Next photo1 of 11 Final Score: Supernova 5 5 vs 6 Croydon 4👍 1 🔥 1M Cartwright (3)M Withers (1)R Beard (0)C Harker (0)N Chugh (0)A Whittaker (0)H Beardson (1)T Beardson (1)D Withers (0)Submitted by Andy on 04 Oct 26
