Croydon AGMThe new look committee met for the first time in the new season to discuss a variety of topics. Things that came out of the meeting were: • Training begins this week, o Squad – Tuesday 8.30 – 10.00pm o Club – Thursday 8.00 – 10.00pm • It was decided that all club members were welcome to Squad training on Tuesday’s and Colin would reduce the attendance by naming his squad. Members would then be invited to squad training during the season if appropriate. • Paul and Steve would alternate the club sessions, with Paul taking the first session. • 1st and 2nd team captains would be selected by Colin. To assist with the admin a ‘Squad Manager’ will be selected. • 3rd / 4th / 5th team Manager’s would be selected following various discussions with Ben. Once again a crib sheet per team would be utilised to spread the weekly tasks. • It was noted, a Junior coach is still to be found, so if anyone has any suggestions, please speak to a committee member. • The preparations are going well for the 70th and it was announced that 12th September is the FINAL cut of time to have paid for a ticket. • PAYG fees would be increased to £7.00 per session and the club will be moving to become cashless to reduce the admin. Invoices will be issued bi-monthly, but due to the extensive admin with PAYG, the club’s preference is for all members to be on DD. • There will be huge increase is Social Media activity going forward, so make sure you are signed up to our Facebook page and the club’s Twitter account.
