CKC Girls got Pretty Muddy On Sunday 5th October, six members of Croydon Korfball Club took part in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy race around Clapham Common. The six, Sarah Withers, Lorna Elliott, Hannah Driver, Kathy Bradford, Beccy Lockett and Karen James, ran in aid of Cancer Research. Whereas the previous couple of weeks had been unseasonably warm, the day of the race started off a bit on the chilly side. Just after 8am, we were scraping ice off the cars in 3 degrees before heading off to Clapham. Fortunately it warmed up a few degrees but the first few mud dips were a bit icy! The 5k obstacle course was a mix of muddy pools, cargo nets and barriers. Great fun was had by all and there was mention by some "same again next year"?!? The sponsorship page is still open and any donations would be greatly appreciated, even if it's only a small amount. justgiving.com/ckc2014.
