CKC of the future We all know that one of the ways that CKC will continue to grow is through our juniors. We currently have a small but dedicated group of young players who turn up regularly, but we'd like to build on that to attract more young people who can also enjoy the sport, and hopefully, come through to the senior teams. This has happened in the past, as Becki and Dan Pratt will tell you, but it does take hard work. CKC regularly have opportunities to go into schools, but we can't rely on the same people going to take the sessions. It can be daunting standing in front of a group of children, but a short face-to-face course is bring offered to give people the skills they need. The regional korfball association, the LKA [www.londonkorfball.co.uk] has organised a coaching course for people who want to work with juniors. The course will be taken by Junior coaching expert, Jackie Hubbard, and will last around 3 hours. The course is designed for korfballers with little or no experience of junior coaching or for people who work with juniors with little or no experience of korfball. The course will be held in the small sports hall at Trinity and will involve some physical activity. The details of the course are: Date: 22nd May 2010 from 13.00-16.00 Venue: Trinity School, Shirley Park, Croydon, CR9 7AT. Equipment: Bring sports kit, a note pad and a pen. Cost: Free - the fee will be covered by CKC To register for the course email Liam at liam.clarke AT gmail.com. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis with priority given to LKA registered players and non-registered attendees based in the London region.Previous photo Next photo1 of 1 Story by Jane | Updated by Andy · 16 years ago
