CROYDON KORFBALL CLUB NEEDS YOU!! Croydon’s annual summer tournament is the biggest and best in the country...but it’s not magic that makes us so great, it’s the time and effort of CKC volunteers! So please, please, please volunteer to help out. Here are just some of the ways you can contribute – · Lend a sleeping bag and air bed (via Anna) to a friendly Dutchie to borrow for the weekend · Advertise the tournament to your friends and other korfballers, and encourage them to enter a team · Help transport posts and equipment over to the rugby club · Help measure and mark out the pitches at the rugby club on Saturday · Pick-up and drive some Dutch players over to the venue Sunday morning · Put together team packs (containing fixtures, reffing commitments and bin bags) to hand out on Sunday · Volunteer to spend some time manning the BBQ and refreshment stand on Sunday · Volunteer as a car park attendant on Sunday morning · And many more varied and necessary jobs! Please let a committee member know that you’d like to volunteer, and let Adam Champion know asap if you want to play for a CKC team on the day itself. Don't forget to get yourself in the tournament mood with a few drinks and a plate of chilli at the Pre-Tournament Social– Saturday 26th June in the Green Dragon pub, Croydon. The Dutchies will be attending in force, and we need to get them good and drunk so we can beat them the next day!
