Stingers Annual TournamentFollowing the committee meeting held on 22 February, the following items were agreed: • Andy Bovey, in attendance for this meeting, would speak to the squad individually to see thoughts on a possible coach for next season. • A Junior Coach is still required to take our junior section. This could be done under a ‘team’ of helpers, or just one person – but if you feel you are able to assist in any way, please speak to Anna. • Committee Posts. There will be some vacancies on the committee for the 2016/17 season. Keep an eye out for a further news item with more information on those stepping down for next season. If you would like to be on the committee in any capacity, please feel free to speak to one of the committee members. • Tournaments: it was agreed that CKC need to have more of a presence at the summer tournaments – some near to home, but also some of the smaller ones further afield. Not only will you have fab fun in the sun, but would also get the CKC name out there and enhance our chances of recruiting. Again, watch the website for more details on tournaments. If you would like to play in any tournaments, please make it known sooner rather than later so that we can plan our team and publicity of our attendance !! If anyone would like to attend on behalf of CKC or alongside a seasoned EKA AGM attender to see what all the excitement is about, please let Ben know. • CKC contributed towards Essex Blades, currently where our own Alex Burr is studying and playing, for their Crowd Funding for some much needed equipment. • If you wish to attend the end of season korfBALL, in Croydon near the Aerodrome on 1st May, please liaise with Becki P who is kindly co-ordinating CKC’s tickets with Lisa Swain.
