Bristol City TournamentHello everyone, I have received and email from the LKA and subsequently from the EKA requesting assistance for the weekend of the Play-Off weekend at Whitgift - 30 April / 1 May. Last year, Steve and I helped on Friday night, Saturday morning and again Sunday evening to set up and clear up - as well as play all weekend. It was hard work, only because there were very few helpers. Even though Croydon won't be playing this year, please could you find an hour or two to help either Friday or Sunday evenings (or both!!) as it really is a case of many hands make light work. And it is local for us all too! If you are able, please either contact Sally More direct, or let me know so I can forward your details on to Sally. Please see below the two emails. Dear Bec, Bromley, Croydon, Nomads and Trojans Further to the email below, I am now following up again asking for volunteers at the playoff weekend. We are particularly asking for volunteers from clubs who are playing in the playoffs or who have members who live in Croydon i.e. the vicinity of Whitgift. As you will appreciate, EKA have not hosted an international event for many seasons now. We can’t even consider putting our name forward to host an event such as the Europa Shield if we can’t even get volunteers for our own playoff weekend. Therefore, please can you share this again with your members and let me know of anyone who is willing to give up a couple of hours of their time on Friday evening to help set up or stay behind for an hour after the event to help clear up before heading off to the “do”. Thanks Sally More EKA Competitions Secretary I hope you are all well. I'm writing to request assistance from the London Korfball Clubs and LKA members. The England Korfball League finals and playoffs are taking place in Croydon on Saturday 30 April and Sunday 01 May 2016. We are looking for volunteers to help with the setup on the Friday evening and closedown of the event on Sunday afternoon. We have a number of tasks to complete to prepare the hall on the Friday evening. Details will be shared nearer the time. At this time we are just looking to gather a list of people that are willing and available to help. Can you forward this request onto your club members?
