Christmas MealThe committee held its first meeting of the new season last Wednesday and had a full Agenda to rattle through. Points to come out of the meeting for your information was: • JUNIORS. Tom has worked hard to set up a junior section and junior training will now take place 19.00 – 20.00 on Thursday evenings before club training. Blake Palfreyman will take the sessions with assistance from 2/3 club members. If you are DBS checked and would like to assist, please let Tom, Susan or Ben know. If you would like to help assist, and don’t have a DBS check, please also let one of them know. • Squad training starts on Tuesday 12 September 20.30 – 22.00 • Club training starts on Thursday 14 September 20.00 – 22.00 • There will be once again 5 teams in the leagues this year. As with last year, when the fixtures are up and available, please help the team managers by indicating your availability – and checking regularly to keep it up to date. We expect the fixtures to be available in the next week or so. • SUBS. Please ensure that you pay your subs on time and indicate on any payments made electronically, your name and what you are paying for – this will help Tom enormously with his accounts. As a reminder, the subs are: Squad: £360 per year (£45.00 per month for 8 months) Club: £220 per year (£27.50 per month for 8 months) PAYG: £7.00 per training session or match Account number: 86334077 Sort Code: 60-17-11 • RECRUITMENT: you will have (hopefully) have seen Kathy’s post about recruitment at Lloyd Park on Saturday’s throughout September at the Park Run’s. Please ensure you are able to attend at least one of these sessions, as the more people we have there in the mornings, the more fun it will be for everyone and the better the recruitment possibilities they’ll be. Please wear your CKC white t-shirts or training tops. • Becki P and Stephen G have both transferred to Trojans and we wish them well. • KIT: there has been some chat on our social media sites about kit. The committee have taken this on board and are looking into some options. We will announce more information when it becomes available, hopefully later this year. • CODE OF CONDUCT: Following the AGM, CKC have updated the club’s Code of Conduct. A copy of this will be posted separately on the website and we expect all members to read and adhere to it. • NEW RULES AND REGULATIONS: the EKA and LKA have distributed some new rules and regulations for the forthcoming season – again, these will be posted on the website, so please make a point of reading and taking note. Lastly, if anyone has any ideas, thoughts, concerns or suggestions for the club, please feel free to contact/speak to one of the committee to raise at our next meeting. Our next meeting is on Wednesday 11th October.
