London Schools TournamentThe committee once again met last week. Points to come out of the meeting for your information was: • Juniors has started well with positive feedback. There will be a rota distributed for your turn to assist Blake at junior training on a Thursday evening. Like with the referee fixtures, if you are unable to take your turn, it’ll be up to you to find a replacement. • Please continue to keep your availability on the website up to date. This well help with team selection as sometimes it’s quite a juggling act. If you have forgotten your log in details, let me (or Andy/Sarah) know and we can remind your details. • SUBS – if you haven’t already, please could you pay your subs. Please can you also indicate on any payments made electronically, your name and what you are paying for – this will help Tom enormously with his accounts. As a reminder, the subs are: Squad: £360 per year (£45.00 per month for 8 months) Club: £220 per year (£27.50 per month for 8 months) PAYG: £7.00 per training session or match There are also options if you are a student. Let Hannah know if you intend on going along so that a suitable table can be booked. Saturday 24th March – QUIZ NIGHT. Further details to follow – but put the date in your diary. • EKA AGM. This will take place in Cambridge on Saturday 24th February at 1.00pm. If you are able to go, please speak to Susan or Ben. Alongside the AGM, the EKA are holding a ‘CLUB DAY’. This is an interactive workshop alongside other clubs and their members from the korfball community. You can highlight what our/your interests are so you are able to join workshops of interest. This takes place between 11.00 – 16.00 at Cambridge Fire Station. If you are interested and would like to know more, please speak to me. If you go, you do get a FREE LUNCH. I need to inform the EKA of our attendance by Friday 19 January. • Committee posts – 2018/19 season. To give plenty of notice, there will definitely be a couple of vacancy’s on the committee next season, so if you think you are able to give something back to your club, get in touch with one of the committee members. Alternatively, if you have anyone in mind that you think would be great on the committee but you think they might be too ‘shy’ to step forward, please nominate them! Lastly, if anyone has any ideas, thoughts, concerns or suggestions for the club, please feel free to contact/speak to one of the committee to raise at our next meeting. Our next meeting is on Monday 5th March, but of course the committee can call a meeting any time, so if you feel something can’t wait – speak to us.
