CKC AGMThe committee once again met last week. Points to come out of the meeting for your information was: • Social Media – Whatsapp: Please remember that this group is open to all members of the club, so please keep your comments appropriate. • Thursday evenings. Juniors are training before our club sessions on a Thursday evening. Ed will be sorting out a rota of sorts to get to training early to help and encourage the parents who are watching to have a shot and engage a bit more into the CKC club. • Availability and organising teams is becoming more and more challenging as the season progresses. If you receive a WhatsApp or text message, please could you respond to it. In addition, please ensure your availability is up to date and correct on the website. This would help enormously and save a few stressed hours to the few who are trying to sort teams week in week out. Thank you. • Subs – again, if you receive a message about paying subs – please please could you react to it. There are a lot of man hours behind the scenes keeping the club running, and would certainly make everyone’s life much easier and happier if you acknowledge and pay your subs without several reminders. As a reminder, the subs are: Squad: £360 per year (£45.00 per month for 8 months) (PAYG not available for squad members) Club: £220 per year (£27.50 per month for 8 months) PAYG: £7.00 per training session or match There are also options if you are a student. Account number: 86334077 Sort Code: 60-17-11 If you have any issues with payment of subs, please send or speak to our Chair, Ben. • Socials: SATURDAY 24 MARCH – QUIZ NIGHT – 19.00. If you have a team – please ensure you’ve paid your money up front so that food can be purchased. If you don’t have a team, but would like to come along – please speak to either Hannah or Kathy to slot you into a team – or even better, find some mates, family or anyone off the street and cobble together your own team. £12.00 per person, Fish (or sausage / chicken / spring roll) and chips included as well as a chance to raise some funds for YOUR CLUB. FRIDAY 22 JUNE – AWARDS NIGHT / AGM – 18.30. Further details on this to follow. Rest assured this will not be a night to miss as things will be changed up a bit this year!! Put the date in your diary! • Committee posts – 2018/19 season. We have a few committee members stepping down at the end of the season, so the vacancies will be: Chair (currently Ben) Vice Chair (currently Kathy) Social Secretary (currently Hannah) Publicity Officer (currently Laura) Lastly, if anyone has any ideas, thoughts, concerns or suggestions for the club, please feel free to contact/speak to one of the committee to raise at our next meeting. Our next meeting is on Wednesday 25 April, but of course the committee can call a meeting any time, so if you feel something can’t wait – speak to us.
